Leslie M. Dillahunty

Leslie M. Dillahunty is an associate attorney with The Law Firm of Weakley, Ratliff, Arendt & McGuire. She received her Juris Doctor degree in 1997 from San Joaquin College of Law. While attending law school, she was a finalist in the George Hopper Moot Court competition and represented the law school at the statewide Roger Trainer State Moot Court competition. Ms. Dillahunty is admitted to practice law in all courts of the State of California, including the California Supreme Court. She is also admitted to practice law in federal courts including the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Ms. Dillahunty’s experience includes litigation involving motor vehicle-related personal injury, dangerous condition of public property, construction, employment and discrimination, civil rights, child protective services, securities and intellectual property, and medical malpractice. She has tried cases in state court representing cities, counties, and religious entities, as well as their employees. She has additionally written several briefs which were submitted to both the Ninth Circuit and Fifth District Courts of Appeal.

Ms. Dillahunty served on the Board of Directors for the Fresno County Women Lawyers – two years as secretary and one year as president. She is presently serving a three-year term as a member of the California State Bar Committee on Administration of Justice (Northern Section) and serves on the Board of Governors for the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, San Joaquin Valley. She is additionally a member of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California, Defense Research Institute, Fresno County Bar Association, and the Central California Adjuster’s Association. Ms. Dillahunty has written course materials and presented seminars on the topic of “Litigation Case Management for the California Paralegal” for the Institute for Paralegal Education. She has also served as a judge pro tem for the Fresno County Superior Court, Juvenile Delinquency Division.
