Tax Issues

Taxes are an important part of our financial lives — both personally and in business.  Wilson Ratledge knows that dealing with a tax problem, whether it is an IRS tax audit, a North Carolina sales tax audit, or a payroll tax issue, can be a very stressful experience. When you retain Wilson Ratledge, you will be represented by CPA designees and a tax lawyer who has a Master of Tax Law Degree, collectively providing you with over seventy years combined experience.

This talented group will assist and advise you in all aspects of tax planning for business transactions, tax audits, and controversy, whether state or federal.  Wilson Ratledge will also work with your accountant or other counsel in your tax liability matter, including audits, liens, levies, and litigation.

Wilson Ratledge defends its clients with sales, employment, and state and federal income tax issues, including involvement in investments or tax strategies implemented by others which, upon audit, were challenged and resulted in multi-million dollar tax liabilities.  Equally, Wilson Ratledge can defend you in estate and inheritance tax issues, abatement of tax penalties, and wrongful lien and/or levy actions.

Wilson Ratledge’s tax controversy attorneys will serve you if you have a tax collection problem, or if you would like assistance or advice in requesting an offer in compromise or an installment agreement to pay your taxes.  Please note, Wilson Ratledge does not offer tax preparation services.
